Can a plan earn revenue yet lose money or exceed its resources?
A prediction is a starting idea. You can revise it after exploring.

This is an original Bodhi learning activity. Official references establish its curriculum context, rather than endorsement of the simulation or complete syllabus coverage.
Contents. Official syllabus Part 1 pp. 8–11 and Part 2 pp. 11–14 inspected. File ends with Course Structure will be provided shortly and retains a 2025–26 internal assessment heading. These are syllabus themes, not confirmed NCERT numbered chapter titles. Part 2 numbering restarts at 1 in source. Inspected scope: curriculum.

Mapping under review · 2026-10-21Investigation 01
You have 100 fictional credits and 90 workshop minutes. Making each notebook costs 4 credits and 3 minutes; setup costs 20 credits. Promotion adds 15 credits and 15 minutes. Choose a feasible plan, then audit its cost and profit.
Cost = 20 setup + 48 materials + 0 promotion. Remaining budget: 32 credits. Remaining workshop time: 54 minutes. Plan fits both constraints.
Investigation 02
Keep the same production, price and promotion, but use the rainy-day demand rule. Calculate the revised profit. Then explain what the promotion decision gives up under a scarce budget and time limit.
Rainy demand: 11; sold: 11; revenue: 110; cost remains 68. Unsold notebooks are not automatically refunded.
Original deterministic notebook case with invented credits, demand and resource limits. No wages, taxes, loans, stock resale or demand uncertainty are included. It is not a real business forecast or financial advice. IX From Ideas to Startups supports resources, planning and simple profit/loss; Building Blocks in Economics supports opportunity cost.
